Sounds like those bids all came in the final 1-2 days of the window.

For players who were away on international duty.

Tells you all you need to know about their true intentions.

No better back-up anywhere in world football for our winger turned striker, than our other winger.

Great......I don't really think our record bids are in the same bracket as those that actually get these players & finish in 4th place and it's safe to say it covers the 'we tried' bracket though......

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Is Moyes gonna use that excuse the next time we play 3 games in a week?

Bottom line is they failed and we all know it.

Other teams were able to get deals done.

So I assume he won’t be complaint next time we play 3 games in a week and our players are all suffering with fatigue.

Trying to sugar coat abject failure is insulting to all the fans ffs!

The mods scoured the internet for a decent David Moyes icon but couldn't find one that was any better than any icons they already had and the deadline has now passed. "They tried!"

50 years a supporter and the thing I most hope for in a transfer window is a transmission failure in their helicopter.

They sicken me.

“We’re trying to attract a different level of player”

We’re currently in Europe, 5th in the league and in the FA cup.

Try signing these type of players in the summer after finishing 10th, No Europe and knowing we are selling our best player.

Total bullshit. Moyes fucked up as much as the board and deserves as much criticism as then cunts.

Him and Newman should be ashamed of how they have let the window and this opportunity pass them by.

Am I angry - still fucking fuming.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
The video is really interesting. This won't be a popular opinion on here I know, but I don't blame the owners on this. Money appears to have been available for Moyes and this video just seems to back up the stance that the Boss has taken before and that is he just didn't fancy anyone other than a couple of really top-quality players who wouldn't be available in Jan anyway. I'd be interested to see a discussion/debate on this assumption.

We've been linked with a good 40-50 players over the last few months - ok much of that may have been paper talk - but I'd be fascinated in knowing how many Moyes has actually considered worthy and why he has rejected so many and how this impacts on us going forward. If he really believes there wasn't one striker or centre-back available who would - at the very least - give us cover for Antonio then what exactly is he looking for? Would Nat Phillips really not have been useful (being as he went to Bournemouth on loan presumably could have done the same?) and was Origi really not worth a punt at the price?

It's OK Moyes saying we're looking for better quality, after all we've been fighting for a CL place the last two seasons and we're in Europe, but will we look like CL hopefuls if we finish 8th or 9th? We wouldn't then be any different from Crystal Palace. This attitude of Moyes seems alarmingly short-sighted. Perhaps this is where he went wrong at Everton?

We just needed better players than Diop, Fredericks, Yarmolenko and Masuaku to improve... not fucking world beaters

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Karen Brady was trying to get some deals sorted. Is it any wonder we didn’t get any players in then. I thought Newman had been recruited to close the deals instead of that we have the cheese lover from arsenal trying to finalise deals. What a clusterfuck of a window this was.

Re: MOYES ON THE TEAM RETURNING, TRANSFER WINDOW
Blagg,

with respect mate looking for players who will make us better didn't start the day the window opened. We should have been scouting the best players in the Championship LONG before, let alone foreign leagues.

This smacks of Sullivan's MO, beachcomb through the leagues on the last day of the window for some 'loan to buy' players and he's come unstuck.

I wouldn't employ him to run a fruit and veg stall on the Roman Rd, let alone our secular church.

Listened to the fuckwits laughing at the fans who were pissed off at the transfer window on Moore than a Podcast.
Am I pissed off that Rice, Bowen and fuck knows who else will be leaving in the summer? Fuck yeh.
Now we had to recruit 2 players to strengthen, when they leave we need 4...

Cunts, like 86 all over again
